Brambati S.p.A has a history of over 80 years in the food sector, specifically in confectionery, biscuit factories, bakeries, pasta factories, baby food and coffee industries.
The company began its activity specialising in flour milling plants and quickly established itself in the food processing sector, working for confectionery, biscuit, bakery and pasta factories. From the early years, Brambati benefited from Francesco’s extensive knowledge in the operation and maintenance of milling plants, which enabled the company to design and build its first food plants.
In the 1980s, Brambati experienced a significant expansion phase, moving its headquarters to Codevilla (PV) and exponentially increasing its production capacity. During this period, the company showed a clear propensity for diversification, entering new sectors such as roasting and plant engineering in the plastics industry. This strategy allowed Brambati to expand its presence beyond national borders, reaching markets in Europe, Central and South America, and eventually operating in all five continents.
Over the last twenty years, the third generation of the Brambati family has responded to the growing market demands for higher quality services and professionalism, specialising in two main technical areas: roasting plants (coffee and various cereals) and ingredient handling plants for biscuit, bread and pasta factories. The division specialising in coffee production plants is able to provide turnkey solutions, covering all phases from the reception of green coffee to the feeding of the packaging machines, including cleaning, storage, weighing, blending, roasting, transport, grinding and degassing.
Brambati has embraced digital transformation and Industry 4.0, developing integrated systems that enable efficient and automated production management. These systems allow production planning directly from the company’s accounting systems, ensuring accurate traceability of each batch of green coffee and finished product. The system collects real-time data from production, storing it in a database and making it available for machine status monitoring, production reports and KPIs.
Brambati’s commitment to sustainability is a fundamental pillar of its corporate philosophy. In recent years, the company has invested heavily in research and development to improve energy efficiency. It has installed a solar system that produces 200 kilowatts of energy per hour, covering 60 per cent of its electricity needs, and replaced old lighting systems with LED lights. It also eliminated the oil heating system and installed heat pumps and high-efficiency condensing boilers. These efforts enabled Brambati to receive a gold certificate from EcoVadis in 2021 for sustainability and corporate responsibility.
Brambati continues to respect its family tradition, enhancing it in innovative ways through the integration of research and development and attention to sustainability issues, thus ensuring a sustainable and lasting future for the company and future generations.
